Overview

The AX3243F family is a low‑power 3V 1000Kbps RS‑232 UART transceiver operating from a single 3V to 5.5V supply. It supports three drivers and five receivers with data rates up to 1000 Kbps, and is fully compliant with EIA‑232/TIA‑232 and ITU‑T V.28/V.24 standards for RS‑232 UART serial communication. The device integrates three RS‑232 line drivers, five RS‑232 line receivers, and proprietary switched‑capacitor regulated voltage converters. With enhanced electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection on all RS‑232 I/O pins, the AX3243F exceeds ±15 kV IEC61000‑4‑2 air‑gap discharge and ±8 kV IEC61000‑4‑2 contact discharge, ensuring robust and reliable performance.


The AX3243F supports the proprietary AUTOGREEN power saving function which automatically powers down the on-chip regulated voltage converters and driver circuits when an RS-232 cable is disconnected from the host interface or when the connected peripheral device is turned off.
