The MediaTek Genio 510 IoT platform features a six-core CPU, an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, and an NPU designed for edge AI computing. This platform integrates a built-in HEVC encoding acceleration engine for efficiently handling FHD video encoding, complemented by robust edge AI computing power, advanced multimedia image processing, and multitasking operating systems. Designed for fanless enclosures and low-power smart IoT devices, it is well-suited for edge AI systems, industrial automation, smart homes, and interactive retail solutions. By integrating ASIX AX88179B USB 3.2 Gigabit Ethernet Controller, the Genio 510 platform seamlessly expands multi-port Gigabit Ethernet connectivity via USB, delivering a high-speed and stable wired network experience.
The AX88179B USB 3.2 to Gigabit Ethernet Controller is a compact, cost-effective, and user-friendly solution, featuring built-in drivers for macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, Chrome OS, and Nintendo Switch, enabling seamless driverless plug-and-play functionality. Moreover, precise time synchronization is essential in AIoT applications such as smart homes, factories, cities, and transportation systems. AX88179B supports advanced IEEE 1588v2 and 802.1AS Precision Time Protocol (PTP), delivering a stable and efficient USB-based time synchronization solution.
Following the successful launch of the AX88279 USB 3.2 to 2.5G Ethernet Controller in 2023, ASIX is set to introduce the AX88279A in Q3 2025. This next-generation controller supports driverless installation, plug-and-play functionality and PTP technology, while also incorporating the latest Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) standards, including IEEE 802.1Qav, 802.1Qbv, 802.3br, and 802.1Qbu, making it ideal for industrial IoT (IIoT) applications.
